Can pos blend control feather bones? I can't find the bones in it, but it can control traditional bones!
If not, how can I control the automatic folding of feathers?

Thanks, everyone!

I was never able to get that pose blend component to work, it drove me crazy, I think it’s broken, but don’t quote me on that. I found a different method which was posted by William Harley a while ago. I’ll post it shortly. You basically need to extract your skeletons and setup all the required elements in a graph with a skeleton blend.

Here you go, and credit goes to William for this. This would be great to roll into an autorig component. I'm going to hold off on building the component until they release Cedric, the flying monkey. Hopefully that will show up in the content library soon, after they clean up the file.

Thanks for your enthusiastic answer, but it doesn’t seem to be what I’m looking for! What I mean is the feather bones in Houdini’s feather system, hmm, the bones generated by Control Groups in addgroom. They can be controlled in pos blend.

The problem I’m running into is that when I fold the wings (this is done with poseblend), the feathers don’t fold perfectly along with the wings. My thought is that if the feather bones were like the wings, poseblend could solve it!

I'm looking forward to using feathers to create this effect, and when I collect wing feathers, they also get collected.

If I don't use posblend, I think I'll have to manipulate the feathers one by one in the APEX Network View, which is a huge amount of work.

Thanks everyone, because I'm afraid I'm not very smart and can't express myself clearly, taking up a lot of the platform's resources, I apologize!

I also want to ask another question,

I’ve finished the feathers, and when I connect to addgroom, the big feathers show up, but the small feathers don’t. I want all of them to show. How should I handle this? Thanks

Are you able to send a hip file? Send via DM if needed, I can take a look.

Hi, you can also give the set driven key a go. This way you dont have to deal with all the skeletons and things. You simply pose the wing and feathers using the apex_rigpose sop and use that in the set driven key to do the pose blending.

This is what we used for Cedric the chimp that we showed off in the demo.
