hello all,

While converting meshes to a smoke volume, I often found the same problem appearing once I started to crank up the grid resolution. There are “lines” leaking from the surface. I assume it has to do with the ray intersect algorithm, but I did not get better results using different algorithms.

Are there any know tricks to solve this?

Cheers,
Koen

Just making sure here, did you have “laser scan” turned off?

I did not, and that seems to help a lot, feel stupid now…

Thanks!

Unfortunately, while this solved the problem for my torus, it did not solve it for the real object I was trying to convert. The problem seems very much the same:
