is it correct that i can use HQueue to manage mantra jobs on the farm? what do I need to install on the render clients?
an other thing is what do I need on the clients to do upresing? hbatch?

You can use the HQueue Render ROP to submit mantra jobs to the HQueue farm:

Python 2.5 is needed on the render clients. Other than that, the rest of the client software/scripts are automatically installed when you use the “Add Client” feature on the HQueue web interface.
And yes, for upres'ing and distributed simulations, you need hbatch on the clients. To submit sim jobs, use the HQueue Simulation ROP:
