How can I use an object to paint an attribute over another object.
I have a ball that rides over a grid and where it touches it paints an attribute.
I am using transfer attributes but since it updates frame by frame it doesn't leave the paint trails on the object.
I hope I could be clear, any help would be appreciated.

Cool examples!!!!
Thank you very much for the help!!
I like the CHOP solution, but it is a little slow for what I want to do, I want to to use it with a sop solver in a simulation, so if I use the chop solution it´s gonna to take a while.
Is there a way to do it with vops? I tried to do it but I didn´t had success.
Anyway thanks very much for the help.
