1. Some one have an idea how to approach different knots with wires ?

2. I would also happy to know how to take any given line to move only on course that will determent by curve. ( this will solve some problems in case i will not use real wires with dops)

thanks !

Hi James ,
Sorry but I am a bit baffled as to what you are trying to do. Could you post a basic scene file and give a better explanation. Then it might encourage others help address your problem.

Thanks , you right .

I`m try to find ways how to generate knots, animated knots.
for future stitching , or just simulation of knots
and
understand better the relations between wires and static\cloth objects.
examples:

so my first questions how to build\animate this knot ( creating_path.hipnc ).

1.there is a way to build line and make it follow the path ?
so the line would move like a snake according to the path?.

2. I look for methods that the wire will able to wrap easily around objects .
Are there any standard nodes available that I could make use of?

3. mahat_hoot.hipnc showing case that my static object not able to affect the wire.
there are mutual forces between wires and static\rbd\cloth objects ?
from my experience here :
wire affect object working fine usually
but does object affect wire ?
