Hi

Is there any way for colliding particles with Bullet objects instead of RBD objects ?

Thanks

Hi my friends

in the Maya we have Automatic Mapping for adding UV to Geometries ,This tool in the Maya has a Overlap parameter for overlapping UVs ,so this so useful for too many small objects such as Fractured pieces.

I know in the Houdini we have same tool for doing that ,It's UVUnwrap SOP ,But this tool doesn't have any Overlap parameter ,So what should I do ?

Thanks all

So Thanks.

This method working perfectly ,But I'm just carious why I don't have access to the $PT (in AttributeCreate SOP) after setup_packed_prims node while I have access to @ptnum in the pointwrangle SOP after setup_packed_prims very well !?

Thanks ,I did your solution and it's work perfectly.

The only problem is adding random mass attribute in the packed object.
If I add mass attribute after setup_packed_prims node ,it's work perfectly ,But becuase of packed object ,I don't have access to the point's attributes such as $PT.(so i can't add random mass)

If I add mass attribute before setup_packed_prims node , seems like this attribute doesn't import in the AutoDopNetwok.

So what should I do ?

Thanks

Hi

I just to know how can i set different density attribute for each piece of RBD Fracture object.
please consider that i using Packed pieces.

I add density point attribute to pieces in the Geometry network ,But seems like this attribute doesn't read in the AutoDopNetwork !

Thanks all

Hi my friends

is there any solution for doing somethings like RBD Glue on the particles ?
The particles stick with together and collapsed with certain strength force.

it's result should be somethings like Clumping in the Grains.

Thanks

Hi
How can I render deep data from Renderman in Houdini ?
I know that in the Maya we should just set output format to dtex ,But what about Houdini ?
Thanks all

Hi
I made a little complex scene with too many trees.
When I render it with Renderman ,I take this error : Not enough free disk space !
I have at least 350 GB free disk space on each drive.
Also I rendered another project with some more complex trees in Renderman for Maya perfectly , But I can't render smaller scene with Houdini !

In the Renderman for Maya , We have a renderman folder in the Maya project directory, all of the heavy renderman data such as Rib files are saved in this folder ,But I like to know where is this folder in the Renderman for Houdini ?

Specially thanks guys.

Hi all.

How can I using Atmosphere (Volume Scattering) for Volumetrics objects such as Clouds ?

I made some clouds and add Atmosphere to this project , But Cloud don't render correctly inside Atmosphere !

I using Mantra.

Thanks all

Oh , Please Houdini Masters
I really need any solution .

I wanna simulate a very big wave that falling down and breaking a big ship , I wanna make this wave with deforming geometry , then convert it to the Flip Particles , I saw before one of my friends did that in Naiad , he just made a animated wave geometry in Maya , then exported it to the Naiad with Alembic format , then naiad filled inside of this geometry with Flip Particles and finally Flip Particles behaved like reference Geometry !

Hi all , I know we can simulate a Flip Simulation based on animated geometry in naiad , Now I like to do it in Houdini .

I wanna create a large scale ocean with very big waves (storm) , I made an animating geometry for this wave , now I think I can use this for controlling a Flip simulation to achieve full dynamic simulation , right ? this is good idea for creating big ocean waves ? :?

Thanks

Technical Discussion » Add Heat and Temperature resolution to simple Volumes

Woooow  , That's so simple , Thanks
I just have another question :
how can I edit Heat and Temperature with Volume VOP ?
about density I know that we have density parameter inside of Volume VOP and I can simply multiply density by any number , But about heat and temperature I don't have any variable (or maybe parameter !).
how can I multiply some float value by heat or temperature inside of Volume VOP ?

maybe I should rename them to density , multiply them by any number , then rename it to heat again , but this method is a little strange !

please check my simple example project about this

Thanks again for your helps
