I was looking for a way to get attributes within each multiparm instead of the parameter input itself because I realize that I needed to add constantly add up the values with every instance and store them somewhere as an attribute but I do not know how I can read it.
With what you suggested, getting the parameter itself, I can just run a for loop through every instance and get the parameters into a list and add them up during every instance. It's a bit tedious but that's what I can think of now, and it works!

Hi there!
I'm trying to make a simple multiparm set-up for creating blocks that will stack on top of each other.
I can control the number of blocks and the height of each block but I have no clue how I can read the height of each box from each iterations.
I made an attribute within the multiparm itself to store the height of the block but I have no idea how I can call out that parameter from the previous iteration into my current iteration for usage.
Any help and ideas will be great!

Hi there
I'm not able to sync the asset browser in my Houdini in my MacbookPro to the Orbolt store. It prompts me for a login to the website but after I log in and “Login confirmed, You will now be sent back to Houdini” nothing happened.
However I can sync it with my Windows workstation.
any ideas?

Sorry for the late reply. Breaking it down would be a good but it'll be more troublesome.

Hi guys. I have a question to ask.
Assuming I'm trying to set a corner of a cupboard on fire, i can't select just the faces to apply the pyro system right.
What are the ways i can do that?
The only way i can think of is to duplicate the corner of the cupboard out as a geometry and light it up.

Hi guys. I was wondering if the instance node for particles system works on the particle surface node. I tried following the instructions in the documentations but it keeps on bouncing back an error saying “particle network not selected”.

Hi guys. Just want to ask some stuffs. I transferred a windows Houdini file to a mac and when i render, the render comes out red. And previous attempts with transferring a windows file to a mac results in the models becoming corrupted.
Is there a difference between using a mac and windows to work on houdini?

I used shredding but it separated my flames into bits to flow up.hence I dare not put in too much of a value because I want it to be a continuous flow.
or should I be using pyro cluster instead to get the fire so it'll come out streaky and single?

sorry.need a little more help ops: .
i'm tryin to get the fire more streaky n separated(i've place collision for my firewood but the fire just covered them n blob up again) instead of a big fire in the middle.I've seen other ppl's flames and they've got the streaky effect.
I've up the buoyancy level to 20 so it'll burn faster and turned the gas released down till 2 so tat it wouldn't blow side ways. I'm currently working only on dissipation disturbance and shredding.
Is there an extreme value that I shouldn't bypass because my fire will just break apart n blow everywhere. And in my viewport, it's all blobs!What's goin on?!
I'm thinking maybe my source object is too big to burn that's why I can't get the streak effect because all the fire is gluing itself to the source object?
oh and. How did you render out the smoke?all I've got are white pixels.

Hi guys. I've just started using Houdini a week ago and I'm playing with the pyroFX Flame system. But the flames and smoke i've gotten so far are a bit blurry and vague.
