What does this mean?
“Houdini 9.1.140: It is now possible to return the Master-NonCommercial and Render-NonCommercial licenses given to Houdini Apprentice HD customers. To successfully return these licenses, you need to install new versions of the licensing tools (sesinetd and hkey). ” read on Houdini Journal. I don't understand english very well.
Bye

Hallo,
why SideFX told us that the 9.0 HD license would be good even for 9.1 version and now for ver. 9.1.125 we need to buy another licence?
Have we to wait for the defenitive 9.1 HD version?
Will be possible to upgrade to next versions with less than 99 $?
Thank you for your answer.

Now when my H9 HD (vers. 106) starts a message appears
Unable to link glConvolutionFilter1D
Unable to link glHistogram
Is it important?
How can I correct the problem?
Thank you.

Hallo, may I install the daily builds using the ApprenticeHD 9.0 licence?
And if yes, do i have to remove actual version (9.0794) of Houdini or can install the newer in the same directory?
Thank you.

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Contest menues

Hallo to SideFX Programmers,
i'm new in Houdini, moving first steps. Your approach is quite different from the great part of other 3D programs, and i find some difficult to enter in it. For example: is it possible to use contestual menues for a particular type of object or operation? I find the Tab menu a little confusing with all those menues all togheter, i think that it'll better simplify the things.
Another thing that i'd like to see, i told that in the main Houdini forum, is a beginner guide, in PDF format, so i'll print and study it.
I've buyed the two books, but i think that a good guide by you will be wellcome.
You know that most of other graphic programs have many guides, books ant tutorials everywhere while Houdini has not.
Thank you.
Achille
P.S. I'm only an hobbyst, is Houdini pherhaps too difficult and complex for me? :?

Houdini Lounge » Houdini printed manual?

I think that a such expensive software without a pdf manual, almost a starting guide, is not so good.
Video tutorials are good to learn while using the program, but a printed guide may be read in every place and is useful for a first approach.
I buyed “Houdini on the spot” book, but it is for whom knows yet the program .
To finish: my idea is that SideFX has to find the way to create a printable manual or starting guide, like other software houses do: Cinema4d, Softimage, Maya and so on.
Bye.

I think that without a good printed or pdf manual that cover the most important aspect of the program it'll be impossible for me to begin use Houdini.
I cannot follow the video tutorials while using the program, and the help is for who know yet the use of it and need deeper explanations.
I think a beginner manual, with tutorials and so on is the best for most of people.
I hope Sidefx will consider that.

Sorry for my english.
I intend free of charge the upgrades while the program is at version 9 until it become 10 or 9.5, i.e. major updates, when we can pay a sum less than the first time we buy the program (99 $). For example 50$.
My was only an idea, naturally SideFX will follow its commercial way.
Bye.

Hallo to you all. Some days ago I bought the HD version of Apprentice. I thought that the license was good for the whole version 9 until 10. Yesterday I discovered, in a SideFX mail, that the license is only for 9.0 (until 9.1) version. I think that it isn't a good thing for person like me that use the program only for hobby and learning. I ask to extend the license for the whole 9 version and to upgrade with a little cost only to version 10 and so on.
What do you think about this?
Bye.
