Rigging » How to achieve Maya-like reverse foot behavior in APEX?

I've been exploring the Electra example rig and found out
that the reverse foot behaves differently than what I'm used to in Maya.

Can anyone advise on how to make the ankle behave similarly in APEX when pulling it back,
as it does in Maya? Please, see the attached pictures to get the idea.

Right-clicking on the parameter field to display the drop-down menu creates this error each time. Does someone knows how to fix this?

Thanks mate for your try, but it didn't work. I want to keep the animation coming from sop solver. Maybe it's technically not possible at all.

Thanks for your try N-G but it's not what I'm after. In the fixed file the sop solver is disabled. That's the whole point that it generates points that split into other points. I need them to be moving and colliding with the collider.

Did you used Continuous Emission Type in Vellume Source node?

I did but it acts strangely. It creates a trail of the geometry itself. I changed the initial setup but for vellum it still the same as I feed objects into it.

Please take a look at the scene.

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to make a setup with spheres born in another sphere using vellum.
So basically speaking, I have a Pop network shooting particles, then I feed it into a Copy to Points node and then to Vellum Configure. It works but the problem is that it takes only the first particle and ignore the others. I guess I need to update something inside vellum but can't figure out what's exactly. Can anyone take a look at the attached scene?

There might be a file someplace where you could set up the presets so it shows up as an option which I don't know how or where.
But regardless once you proceed with your export after the dialogue you have above, you will be given options as to how you want to encode.
So the functionality is there, I just don't know how to turn your preferences into a preset.
Although it shouldn't be a problem since there are not alot of options so setting them each time is quick.

Thank you for your reply. Indeed, there are some options that pop up after the dialogue but it's quite annoying setting them up every single time you want to export your flipbook animation.

For example, whenever I need to export as a Quicktime movie I have to get through the following steps every single time:

1. When Compression Settings pop up I have to choose the H.264 codec,
2. I have to change the “Key frame every”
3. Then the “Limit data rate to”
4. Then the “Quality compression”.
5. If I have an audio in then at the end I have to choose an audio codec as well.

I think it's a bit weird not having an easier way to let users save their own presets on this.

Hi folks!

I'm relatively new to Houdini and have been learning it for awhile.
I'm trying to create a scene with crowd transition states where the crowd changes its state from walk to stand say after 5 sec. I use Time trigger there.

I've tinkered around with the built-in Houdini shelf crowd presets and tried to build my own one but it doesn't work. It does changes the state but not in a correct way. To see what I mean, please see the attached scene.
