Does anyone know what this means?
It keeps popping up in my Houdini Dialog Box.

Stumbled upon the same thing today and it's not related to any external renderer in my case.
Seems like Houdini has a problem with (spare) parameters with the name “open”.
Creating a spare parm with that name produces the same warning and the parameter pane for that node stops updating correctly ( when creating keys, deleting channels etc ).

I've been running into this issue a lot! It seems to happen when I have an Octane a material that is using a custom parameter from inside the nodes. In my case, I had a RGB color node I wanted to control form the “shop level” of that material. I feel like Octane for Houdini is causing a lot more crashes than a professional render engine should cause!
Anyone have found a fix for this!
