perhaps someone will know how help me..
i created a simple animation (object rotated, and scaled).
Then i need to create a "vellum cloth" on this object.
My problem is when i apply vellum solver, i lose the initial animation.
i seed that this is possible, but how do?
please, someone have an idea?
I don't know proggramming.
Is there a simple solution?

Good morning everyone,
first, sorry for my english.
I need to retrieve curves generated by "tree branch generator node"
I just want to apply a "sweep node" to create a rectangle on each of my curves.
the problem is that the generated rectangles are not aligned at all, they orient in different axes and i can't do anything with that.
can someone help me, explain me how to do so that I can create a clean rectangle for each of my curves and that all the rectangles are oriented on the same axis?
I tried to erase the normals, modify them, but I can't do anything with the curves..
I don't understand curves.

i can't no more select my polygon or other,
I have a small yellow square at the top left of the screen and I can zoom my selection, but nothing else and i don't know how get out this mode..

hi,
i have the same problem on my macbook pro.
i can work quickly only a time, and then, houdini become really slow.
add only a node not connected take 10 to 20 seconds.

yes i do that, but my animation is 5 giga octet, and unreal turn and turn for downloading, but i wait 30 minuts and i stop.

i search a solution to transfert my animation from houdini to unreal.
the problem is there is a lot of polygons on my animation (10 millions) and my animation take 2000 frames.
I read houdini engine for unreal can't export animation, only frame 1 from houdini.
Someone know if it is always like this?
If houdini engine can't export animation, someone know a solution for exporting heavy animation from houdini to unreal?

i use karma for an animation.

i checked and activated "Allow Shader Parameter Animation" in materiallibrary, but it don't work.
i tried to create an parameter outside the materiallibrary for testing, but nothing..
Someone know if it's a bug?

sorry again for my english..
i try to use hair system.
But i have a problem with guidegroom, if i apply a hairclump node into guidgroom node, i can see that my guide are not stable, they are not fixed on my point, he turn around his axis.
I attach an example for show you.
There is a solution for stabilize my guide and he turn never?
I want my guide dont move if i transforme my geometry, i want he stay stable.
Please, say me if i'm not understable, thank you.

In fact, my problem come with relfection or metalic setting more 0 and bump or displacement.
I think that my 3d file from solidwotks is not good…

sorry for my english.
i imported a geometry from solidworks in to houdini.
i use a “normal node” for remove artefact.. then it's ok.
Now, i need a bump for brushed metal, when i make this, there are plenty of artifacts in my geometry.
i tried a lot things, but nothing change.
there is a method for removing artefact?
Someone have an idea?
