Hi,
I've been using UE4 HoudiniEngine Plugin for a while.
The way I thought it working is:
It starts a background process (I see "HARS.exe" in task manager),then interacting with it using HAPI.
I wonder if there is a way that I can directly interacting with the Opened Houdini Editor?
I mean replacing the background process with the existed opened Houdini Editor. So I can change the node or parameter in Houdini Editor GUI and see it effect in UE4.
Is that possible?

I just realized that the HDA can be embedded into a hip file… they do fit the concept of ‘local function’!
(I tried ‘invoke’ node while some nodes aren't supoort compiling)

I meet exactly the same problem. I think there should be a method to achieve this, like ‘local function’ in programming which only be used in a very small context.
However, I'm quite new in Houdini. I'm not sure if it's correct to use a programming brain thinking network in Houdini.
