Everything works well with the latest build of 539 except that AOV should be designated as Color not Vector3 in Karma Material Builder.

jsmackThanks, jsmack. Using 'st' solved the problem.ifree
But uv is output per polygon rather than per geometry with source type intrinsic, and none with source type primvar.
right, the ray:uv output is the face parametric. For the primvar, use 'st' or check your spreadsheet for the actual primvar name.

Yeh, 'P' is output in the extra vars!
But, how can I output 'Depth'?
It also seems like aov of vector variables is not working in Karma Material Builder.
You should be able to add it in the extra vars, there is a preset called "depth (camera space)"
Thanks, jsmack, it works alright.

They work if you add them in the extra vars section. The checkboxes in ray level output don't set the aov format.

'P', 'Depth', or 'UV' outputs in Karma seem to be broken.
'P' and 'Depth' outputs are well done in 19.5 version, but 'UV' output is not produced in both versions.

You can use particles advected by volume, or use vel of volume to apply force to rbd object.
In both methods, use of SOP Solver is essential.
The example below is in the lecture, Udemy - Master Houdini FX- Create Stunning Visual Effects rigs.

The simple method is merging rigid body solver and flip solver, and implement operation through a sop solver.

I created a texture attribute in SOP as in:
s@image_map = 'map' + itoa(@class);
How can I insert the string attribute to the Texture map field of a Texture node or to the File name field of MtlXImage node so that the file name can be:
$HIP/map.001.jpg

alexeyvanzhula1984Erik WsYou all keep burying Maya, but it just won't die and remains the best software for animation as it always was.
And Maya will be wiped out from its rusted wiggling surface.
Recently, Maya has never been the best software for animation.
It remains stagnant for over 10 years.
I've been a senior Maya user for 5 years at a production studio, but, now, I only use Maya for file converting.

Blender just started geometry and simulation nodes. Look at the interfaces. It's horrible.
I think it would take tens of years for Blender to catch up with the node-based system of Houdini.
It may seem like that you can quickly perform modelling in Maya or Blender.
But modelling is comprised of countless repetitions and corrections, and Houdini is the best in these procedures, not to mention recycling.
Of course, Houdini modelling can't be done in completely procedural ways, but should not be compared to Maya or Blender's way of modelling. Once accustomed to Houdini modelling, Maya modelling is just a pain, and I never used Maya for modelling in recent years.
