the easiest way to find it may be to attempt to save a new image. Check the file browser to figure out which directory that you are saving to by default.
This directory can be different pending the operating system.
On windows, chances are, it's something similar to CDocuments and Settings/stucker/

it's a combination of the mass of an object, and the force feedback scale on the fluid.

you could either put a noise expression using a point sop on the guide hairs, or, if you're using the fur style shop, you can use the frizz option

Interesting
I have never used context sensitive l-systems before, so sorry that i didn't understand what your rule was doing.
It would appear to be a bug. It seems to only recognize the context sensitivity when there is nothing else separating the two symbols. ie: having a [ disrupts the sensitivity.

I don't understand what you're trying to do…
that does not look like a valid lsystem rule to me
You are not defining either A or B… so… the Premise will have no idea what to do.
You need something like
Premise: A
Rule 1: A=FA
to simply draw lines over and over. Does this help?

Sorry, but I really would need to see your actual file to be able to troubleshoot.
It's possible that it is a bug in the apprentice edition. Are you using the latest build?
No guarantees that I'll be able to take a look at it before Monday since I'm about to head home, and my home internet connection is… less than usable.

Not exactly
Attribute copy is not the same as attribute transfer
your rightmost chain won't work, because you're still adding the uvs after the deformation (even though you have a rest, which is for 4d noise I think)
your leftmost chain doesn't look like it will work because you need attribute transfer, not attribute copy.

not sure if it will solve your problem, but the build you're using is around a month and a half old. You may want to update.

I've never used the Render COP, so I'm not 100% sure how it works, but if you're looking to render your images, it might be a rop output cop that you're looking for. It should behave much more familiarly.

Right click the handle and toggle the peak handle
No hotkey currently exists for it, but you could easily set it up to be something like shift t
go to Edit->Hotkeys
search for Peak
they type a capital T in your hot key assigner, and press accept.

It has worked like this for me since the 9.0 alpha, it works like this for me in 9.1.156 as well.
I'm on a Quad with Win x64, and the 32 bit xp windows machine beside me also has this behaviour. Maybe it doesn't work on linux?
I agree that OpenGL ROP would be good for being able to do this on the farm. There are a couple of RFE's for this at the moment.
