Add smoothSOP after attribtransfer1 and “apply to” option set to color. Later play with “smoothing iterations”.

Hey Macha,
Add , after “Convert” in this line hou_node.addSpareParmTuple( myTemplate, in_folder“Convert”), create_missing_folders=True) and it should work.
If you write it without comma python thinks that this is sequence of elements not one element in sequnce.

Having tried out the Bridge Poly I think that should be built in to 10.6…
Not a good idea, Houdini is a tool for making tools and if you get every tool preprogramed with it you will never learn how it works.
What I really miss is edge group support.

Thanks for that, One question when I put them in the Otls folder My path in OSX “Libary/Frameworks/Houdini Framework/Versions/10.0.554/Resources/hodini/Otls” I get a warning every time I start Houdini I get a warning about them having been created in a non commercial version even though thats the version im using? Even after starting closing and starting again. For some reason it would prefer they had come from a commercial version of Houdini is this normal?
I'm on PC so You have to ask someone else about that.

Having tried out the Bridge Poly I think that should be built in to 10.6 as a matter of course, Its the dogs do nads. .
My favourite is FlattenPoints. Is so usefull.

Hi,
Put them in
“harddrive letter:\Houdini10.x.xxx\houdini\otls” folder and the will install automatically. They will be available under TAB menu.
As for making shelf tools from them.
RMB+NewTool on the shelf. After creation edit this tool and under scriptTAB add this line
import soptoolutils
soptoolutils.genericTool(kwargs, ‘toolname’)"
in tool name write specified tool that you want to install to shelf.
So in case of Bridge Polygon write this:
import soptoolutils
soptoolutils.genericTool(kwargs, ‘bridge_polygon’).
And don't forget to name your tools on the optionsTab

From what I see http://www.algolist.net/Algorithms/Graph/Undirected/Depth-first_search [algolist.net] DFS also willl not give you solution that creates full shapes from all edges. It doesn't go through all edges.

For shapes like this on left use polypatchSOP. But this will not work for shapes that contains triangle polygons (I mean shapes like this on the right).

Yeah, I'v seen this. Now I'm going thru C# tutorials from Buzz so didn't have time to fight with this now.

You can add COPs to this equation. Crop it there, save and use in shader. All inside Houdini.

There is snap TAB on fuse node where you can pick how to snap points:
-Averange
-Least Point Number
-Greatest Point Number
it wil not fuse it, only snaps, so after that follow with another fuse with default settings. I sugest making asset from this configuration that allows you to quickly change type of fusing bassed on snaping.

If you refer to DecalVOP in decal material then it's not a simple subnet, it's a Digital Asset.

Try to scale down your UVs a little so they don't reach exactly borders of your texture. Just a thought, after watching UV 101 from Gnomon.
