Hi,
How to properly implement batch mode? When I have some amount of workitem but only one command. Something similar as “ROP Fetch” node is doing with “Frames per Batch” option.
Unfortunately, I didn't find the source of “ROP Fetch”. Is it exist in Houdini distributive?
Thanks
Ostap

For example: ImageMagick TOP node has (inside OnCreated script): Should we follow the same for each custom node?
kwargs['node'].hdaModule().updateCommand(kwargs)

Hi,
Can anybody explain what is the rule/condition to add spare “Scheduler” tab?
Some times we have multiple “Schedulers” tabs in our custom nodes - how to avoid adding new “Schedulers” tab to existed one?
Thanks
Ostap

Absolutely agree with Christopher.
Any chance to avoid additional python expression and follow by shortcut idea (something like that @myattrib.*)?

How registerNode or registerScheduler types works if we version up DigitalAsset representation? For example
Does it still point to the proper type?
myscheduler::1
Does it still point to the proper type?

Thanks for “deadlinescheduler” explanation but in case of MyScheduler type is still erroring and you did a custom dir for MyScheduler but its interference with the previous message from Chris:
You should put your custom scheduler python file into for example: $HOUDINI_PATH/pdg/types/myscheduler.py (no subdirectory).

Ok, clear! That what I did
When I'm trying to reload myscheduler it says:
How about "deadlinescheduler'? Does it work for you Chris?
When I'm trying to reload myscheduler it says:
RuntimeError: Unable to reload module 'pdg.types.myscheduler'
How about "deadlinescheduler'? Does it work for you Chris?
types.registeredType(pdg.registeredType.Scheduler, "deadlinescheduler")

Can you please explain why you are not providing the whole array for the array attribute? Why did you decide to choose the first element (from the array) and not last or middle?

Thank you Chris for an example! But why it doesn't work for custom schedulers? For example (returns None, build 18.0.391):
Should scheduler be in the ‘schedulers’ subdirectory to register properly? Or “$HH/pdg/types” is enough?
types.registeredType(pdg.registeredType.Scheduler, "deadlinescheduler")

Hi,
When I'm trying to increase version on custom scheduler node by adding ‘::’ ('scheduler::1') it provides this error:
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
Can you please provide an example of how to get scheduler instance (to properly type reload)?
Because probably pdg.types.schedulers.local is not what do you mean.
Thanks

Hi,
Is there a way in PDG how I can pass workitem data array to parameter attribute?
For example:
And get all array without querying an individual item (@new_string.1)
Thanks

Thank you for the clarification!
Now it is clear why partitions behaving differently for white wires connection(aka. dynamic workitems).
Also can you please explain what is behind (what is condition) for “Automatic” mode in “Work Item Generation” parm.?

Can you please take a look at attachment?
You have 2 different colours for wires. What do they mean?
