Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Muscles - Making Them Act Properly Deforming and Under Skin

I've added muscles to a geo I'm deforming but while the bones affect the geo, the muscles are irrelevant.
I'm not able to figure out how to capture the geo and get the muscles involved. I'm probably missing something but there's very little info on the subject.
I've watched a cmivfx video on the subject but he only talks about it for 3 seconds and he uses the autorig (I'm not using that). Digital tutors has some very VERY vague things that touch on the subject tangentially.
I've also googled youtube for houdini muscles but it's more demos rather than tutorials.
Any info would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

“letter” is an integer type attribute, so float values get rounded
Ahhh, now I get it… Thank You

This is even more clever
Took me a while to figure it out.
I'm still stuck at this though:
rand($PT)*strlen(chs(“../font1/text”))
in the delete sop
so you're multiplying a random nr between 0-1 with the length of the text in the font sop where you have houdini.
So let's say for example
0.3(random nr) x 7(letters) = 2.1
And yet when I look what's coming out you have all neat integers from 0 to 6 (7 letters). What am I missing?
Also, what does the “+0” do at the end of this expression?
Sorry to bug you - just curious. Thanks for all your help.

Thank you So So Much
I was going in that direction but was really far from the formula you gave me. I broke it down to make sense of it… Thanks again.

How would I go about creating different letters from particles. So each particle would have a random letter, preferably from a variable so that NOT all the letters are used.
So far I have a copy sop and I'm feeding the stamp in the font sop. I can get numbers to show, but how would I conform it to letters.
I'm not sure how to create random letters in the stamp value (copy sop) and have them show up in the font. I can do it with number but letters give errors.
Is there something I'm missing or maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way.
Thank you.

I see some points in the align sop. Do they represent anything? Even the example for the align sop has some similar points. What are they?
They seem very haphazard.
Thanks
PS: Point display is turned off for the screenshot above, but they're still showing.

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Set Different Background For Each View?

Wow - it was sooo simple. I guess I was blind because I'm new to 13 and never thought to look any further. Was this option available in 12? Thank you for the help.
Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Set Different Background For Each View?

How do I setup a different background for each view. I know that clicking the “apply display” button can separate things between views, but I only get one background to choose from. I need to setup 2 (sometimes 3) backgrounds as reference.
So the top view would have one bkg, the right another etc… (camera another)
How is this done? So far I can only insert one bkg either in all or in one… but I don't know how to insert a second (different) bkg without replacing the first.
Is this doable?
Thanks.
