I was wondering if there is a secret way to drag and drop files from the Network View into a LOP Network or Solaris Stage in Houdini 22 ?

Or does one still have to manually create a separate Sopimport for every single object , then set the path and merge it for each and every file ?

What if one needs to import 100 separate objects ??

No Houdini Infront of me now.

But you can probably drag drop all your objects into 1 Scene Import, Into the object selection?

This is if you don't care about the scene hierarchy.

For Each nodes and SOP Import with Iteration Method = For Each String in Parameter, could also work.

yep , but how useful is that if you need separate objects , as in most of the time ?

And even then , you first have to create a "Sceneimport" node. How convenient would it be if one could simply drag and drop any node into any view and Houdini would automagically create the appropriate node.

I find it amazing that so many basic functionalities like this that would speed up the workflow so much , are still missing in an Application like Houdini.

I suspect if SideFX would design a car , the doors wouldn't open from the inside , because you can roll down the window and open them from the outside , so why bother adding a handle ;-)

And obviously if group selection was left empty all four doors, the trunk and the hood would open simultaneously : )

Sounds like an RFE or two in there. You should log 'em.
