Since I'm fairly new to Houdini and texturing and materials are my weakness in any application, there might be better solutions than this. But you can use a basic_surface and in its properties, go to the “Specular” tab, which is right next to the “Color Map” tab. In there change the Specular Type from “VEX Specular” to “Blinn”.

cheers,

If you want meaningful answers, then you should bother to put meaningful titles to your posts.

Try using a VEX Super Material SHOP and then change the Shading Model to Phong Specular.
