When clicking on the top menu Render -> Create Render Node -> ‘Any option in here’
Houdini pops up a window saying

An error occured while executing menu Python sctip.
Could not open file CProgram/Side

Houdini does not crash, it just displays that error.

Maybe you have a path with weird characters, like spaces or special characters, I never install my software like maya and houdini inside program files because their is a space in the name.

Yes I do, it's the default location within the installer-program.
I managed to get it done by adding an ROP network Node -> Mantra Render Node.

But yes, it was the default location in the installer. Is there some way to get to the script and add the ~ -sign perhaps?
