Hi i just installed Houdini on my laptop for learning , but my laptop doesnt hav much memory just 2GB ram and 2.4 GHz m processor, i want to tweak it to run fast so can anyone please help me in tweaking houdini …

put linux on that sucker and see it fly

that's what I use and seem kinda like my laptop and houdini runs smooth

I'm sorry if I sounded aggressive, I didn't mean to, so I apologise

But is true, if you want more speed out of your machine use linux, that'll make it run like is supposed to.

i do have Linux OS installed on my computer but right now i am downloading Houdini Linux version, btw what Linux OS distro you use…

I use ubuntu 8.04 in my laptop and at work, we used to have Centos but ubuntu has better support and fixes bugs quicker.

i like it cause is also friendly to my guys at work, works nice and everybody now release debs
