error in rendering shadows

i assign a shadow matte material to objects.
but mantra rendered some dirty speckle in the shadow .
as shown in the picture below

Hi ,
I doubt the problem is caused by the shadow matte material. It is more like the quality of your shadow map. Do a test render using raytraced shadows and compare.

but the shadow type is already ray-raced shadows

Do you have depth of field in there? If yes, try upping the samples.

well if you have already tried to debug the scene it would help if you told everyone what you have tried. Or even better post up a scene showing the problem.

there is no depth of field

the attachment is scene file.
but the thing changed very strange.

i add the parameter shown in the picture below for the light named top ,then the stains were disappear .but if delete this parameter , the error is no longer appear

but I don't know what is use of the parameter.

Hm. Isn't that setting used to decouple shadows steps when using volumes?

If you can't post the original file, can you replicate the error in a simplified scene, (just a bumpy sphere). Then we could have a look at it?
