Hey, recently moved from 3DS max to Houdini, I'm liking it allot (free edition on my miss's pc)

I bought a License in December and only now I have been able to use it ..well attempt to get every thing working.

I'm getting this error:

Error installing key: LICENSE Generic Houdini-Master-NonCommercial 10.0 1 23-mar-2010 +. +. +. + Glados 20714d7d
RneOSQP5SoOACBHnnhKFHLUsYdiafbZWFVN4heZPuYCKW1JeOqcij@3
Could not create a license file:
C:\windows/keys/licenses.local
Could not write the license to a file:
C:\Windows/keys/licenses.local

I really need this working bad so kinda desperate.

Well if you read that error it certainly suggests to me a permissions problem.

Well to fix it I would be looking at permissions for your user account on what ever windows OS your using. As its windows not allowing Houdini to write the license file.

Does it work if you launch the License Administrator as an Administrator?

Confirming running “License Administrator” as (Windows) Administrator solves this issue.

In case it helps someone in the future.
