downloaded fx tools shelf, noob question

I downloaded the FX shelf, but parameters are greyed out. How do I unlock these tools?

They are shipped as locked digital assets. Go to the top node and RMB on the node then choose “Allow Editing of Contents”
There's at least one school like the old school!

I created smokey Wisp effect, select the top node and selected “Allow Editing of Contents”, this unlocks many nodes, however I see nodes within psurf1 are still locked.

Keep on tunneling and unlocking assets if you want.
psurf is a SOP level HDA.

If you didn't know you can nest assets in side of assets.
There's at least one school like the old school!
