Anyone having good/bad experiences with these?
I want to by a DX11 compatible laptop with ATI 5730 and don't want to experience problems I know some have had with older ATI cards on WinXP. Are the newer drivers on Win7 better?

The ATI drivers on Win7 are pretty good, I've used both the FireGL and the Radeon drivers. I think you still need to make a registry fix to get selection working quickly, though (mentioned in one of the threads on ATI).

Linux is a different story, I still find that there is a gradual resource leak that slows things down until a X server restart is required.
