Shader View?

Why the new mantra surface shader can't be seen in shader view?What happen to camera memo tool .Why futures like that don't work or missing?I think that shader view is important one and should work.It's Ok to remove old futures if they are replaced with new better ones but this is not the case with those two.

The Camera Memory tool is hidden by default. You can show it via the “Memory Toolbar” toggle in the viewport label menu (ie, ).

Hi,
Why the new mantra surface shader can't be seen in shader view?
It was supposed to be fixed a couple of builds ago -yet it still doesn't work, albeit in a different way than before - so they obviously tried fixing it, but failed :shock:

I also count on the Devs *really* fixing it asap.

I got this from the update build page.
“Houdini 11.0.469: The Shader Viewer now correctly displays Material Shader Builder nodes. ”

Greetings,

The next build of Houdini has some fixes for the Shader View. Try out that build and let me know if you run into any other issues. Note that not everything will work in the Shader View. Sub-surface scattering is one example.

With that said, I'd highly recommend using IPR for previewing your materials as it will give you a much higher quality preview. Setting it up isn't quite as convenient, I agree, but I think the benefits far outweigh the set up time.
