Hi there, I'm trying to store the current frame number when an event occurs in a VOP.
I've created an attribute in a SOP Solver which contains $FF so the attribute is updated with the current frame, and at a certain point in the VOP I'm trying to set this value into another attribute.
The problem is I only want to store the frame number when the event first occurs, but when I pass the data on to the new attribute I think its passing on a reference to $FF and not the numeric value, as the frame number continues to increase even though its only set once in the VOP.
Hope my explanation makes sense!

it's surely not passing the reference to $FF, most likely its passing the value each timestep since the event occurs or something similar, but it's very difficult to tell without any hip file
please post some hip file showing your problem and you'll get fix soon
