Hi, I'm new to Houdini and need some help quite urgently.

I am attempting to create an effect similar to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfSqWhLZKxQ [youtube.com]

I have managed to use a voronoi shatter and then an RBD fracture on my object which works fine and fractures properly. I also know how to create an explosion using Pyro FX.

However, the problem I'm having is combining the two so that, as seen in the video, the explosion causes the fracture to occur and drives the pieces of the object, therefore creating an explosion with debris.

Any help would be much appreciated as I am a novice at Houdini currently.
Thanks.

I was thinking that using RBD glue might work to hold the object together, and then use the velocity of the explosion to break the glue. Does anybody know how I would achieve something like this?

Hi,
The following should help you on your way. As ever with Houdini there are many ways to get from A to B and no one way maybe totally correct.
