Hi,
Rendering fur and occlusion seems to be a complete non starter currently with fur in acceptable render times. So I wondered if its possible to render displaced occlusion out on the skin geo and then bake out the occlusion to a texture map, then read in the texture map and mult it with the diff in the hair shader. Has anyone attempted this ? or got another solution they use.

Hi,
Ive put together a surface shader that renders displaced occlusion. The issue I am interested in now is being able to bake displaced occlusion to a texture map.
I can currently bake occlusion to a texture map, but as of yet unable to bake with displacement.
Anyone got any ideas ?
Rob
