Hey guys,
just started learning houdini, so maybe I'm asking very stupid question .
So please, be more patient with me.
Houdini interaction is very slow on my PC. For example:
I have created a curve and box object. Then I assigned to them Sweep and houdini duplicated the box along the curve. Now I want to change some parameters of Sweep. Trying to slide the slider of Scale, Twist or Roll but slider slides very slow. There is about 20-25 instances of the box on the curve.
Is this normal? Generally I use Maya, but in Maya such simple operation like this is not so slow.
I'm using windows 8 x64
Intel - Q6600
GeeForce 560 Ti
4Gb RAM

As you can see my machine is not so bad for such simple tasks(if it is so simple ).

Just noticed that if I change the primitive type to polygon it works fine.

Just for fun I've installed houdini on my MacBook Air(2011) and it do this operation perfectly!!!

Sometimes your viewport settings might not be compatible with your graphics card. I think its edit->preferences->viewports try changing the little dropdown menu where it says gl 3.2 to a different setting and see if that is helpful.
