Can we apply lattice deformer to our pyro grid after caching it out.

Well, in a way you can but it can cause lots of artifacts. You can turn each voxel into a point, sample your volume values onto them, deform the points with a lattice or whatever and then sample back into a new volume. You'll lose detail and introduce aliasing artifacts with this approach though.

Another option is to deform a grid of points with a lattice and then make a vector field from the deformations and use that to displace the render.

Would love to hear if anyone has any other techniques!

Thanks Jesse , i would love to give it a try may b slight deformation can cheat those artifacts but before that few questions

1- How to turn voxel into points
2- Sampling volume values onto them

and after applying deformation

3- How to sample back into a new volume

i want to see how much information it ll loose and artifacts it generates..

i ve also tried to deform grid by applying lattice over it which doesnt seems to work, so creating a vector field out of that is also a question for me

i am attaching my work in progress after getting permission from my head of production just for an idea what i am doing.
