Hi. I come from a realflow background where I could make an ocean surface, a hybrido container around the moving ship and then blend them together to make a seamless transition.
I'm trying to recreate that in houdini but I'm a bit lost. Some general tips would be great. Not asking for an in-depth tutorial, hehe. Just to know where to start playing around.
Thank you very much.
Have a nice day!

Hi,
Since H13 you can have moving containers off the shelf to squeeze as many particles as possible.
I advice you to watch vimeo.com/89039534 (Houdini off the Shelf | Flat Tank)
after you have your sim meshed, you can make a texture to give opacity to the edges of your simulation, then you can lay this on top of the non-dynamic sea
