Hey there everyone, I'm fairly new to houdini, but I'm absolutely loving it so far. Which I had been introduced to it earlier.

My question is, how do I add more depth to my river?

I aim to create a river deep enough for a creature to swim through and then erupt out of. Would I want various layers of water to give it depth, or am I able to completely do it with an emitter?

Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

A river can be fast flowing or it can be a large slow moving body of water . Just make your flip tank with more height And adjust the water level. Bear in mind Houdini units are in meters ! .

Let me apologise if these questions seem self explanatory, like I said, I'm quite new to all of this, you're suggesting I use a flip tank to create the flowing river instead of a particle emitter? How would I simulate movement in the flip tank though? Apply subtle waves to it?

I would advise you watch some of the tutorials so you get a better understanding of the basics first.
