Hello all,

Just beginning with apprentice to see if I would like to use it together with C4D.
Going trough the start up tutorials right now, but somehow I cannot for the life of me have the material show up after applying it.
It does show up in the render though.

Used card is GeForce GTX 860m, naturally I went trough all the different display modes ;-)

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Robert

Do you have “Display Texture” turned on under Display Option > Texture?

Is you shader have OpenGL?

Thanks a lot PradeepBarua for helping,

Yes display texture is on in the display setting, the open Gl settings for the standard wood material are all default as in the attached image.
One thing I do notice is that changing the diffuse color does get reflected in the viewport.
Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the path of the materials texture.

Just to be sure about it,….. applying a standard material like ´wood´ is supposed to show up as such, isn't it?

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated,

Robert

If yo think about wood material from Library, that is procedural texture and you can not preview procedural textures in viewport. Just hit render preview and tweak it there.

Thanks a lot SreckM,

I assumed that it like C4D would be able to do that.
So “render region” is the way to go here I guess.

Thanks for your help :-)
