I wanted to get some clarification on what a Linked Channel is, when editing a parameter interface. When creating a parameter using “from Nodes” it sets a path for Linked Channels and creates a channel reference on the parameter copied over.
How is this different than just setting the internal parameter using a ch(..) expression referencing the parent parameter? And what happens when you enabled the “Link Channels” toggle button in that dialog?
Thanks!
Linked Channels vs Channel Reference

As far as I am aware, there is no difference. Rather, you would refer to a parameter with something like ch(..) and the linking automatically keeps things updated if you rename something.
I think you can break the link (and prevent it from creation) to prevent the automatic update of parameters when you rename a node or parameter.
- Not sure about any of this.
