Since the folder structure is not the same in 15.5, is there a mapping of preference files from 15.0 that can be copied to 15.5?
Seems like everything has been moved to the root /Library folder under the MacOS, instead of the having these folders and files in the user local ~/Library. Why was this done? Is there some clever way that user local preferences are now stored or is it now necessary to have root access to make changes, such as copying desktops to the new location of the desktop folder, which now appears to be in the root /Library folder structure?
Experimentation Update: When you save a preference as default it creates the ~/Library local folder structure. Perhaps this is always how it worked. Seems this folder structure should be created automatically during startup instead of just when preferences are saved. Am I missing something here?
