Hi everyone , I just moved from fumefx to Houdini Pyro and I m having some issues trying to find how to control the emission rate from a BillowySmoke preset . Basically I want a sphere to stop emitting smoke after a specific frame..
Any help ?
Sorry if it s too basic question ..

Inside the pyro_sim network you will find a source_density node.
You can animate the Activation from 1 to 0 to turn off the sourcing into the simulation.
You can also animate the Scale Source Volume parameter from 1 to 0 to reduce the volume over time.
The pyrosolver1 node contains a Bouncy Lift value under the Simulation tab. This controls how fast the smoke rises and the Bouncy Dir controls which direction the smoke will travel in. Kind of like a hard coded wind or anti-gravity.
