When I create a project, H sets the $JOB variable to the project folder. Since setting a project in houdini does not, unlike every other software, automatically jump to the appropriate (sub)directory inside the project to look for files per default, I am required to jump to the project directory by using the $JOB variable or the shortcut.
However after setting an existing project the $JOB variable is gone in my shortcut list, making project handling in H even more unnecessarily tedious.
I tried to create a new $JOB shortcut in the list in case I accidentally deleted it, but I can't do manual entries in the list.
Is there a way to get it back or is this the default behavior of houdini?

UPDATE: The issue seems to be related to the one I described in my other post:
https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/46480/ [sidefx.com]

When I create a project on my MAS, the $JOB shortcut is gone. When I create a project on a local drive or another networkdrive on another computer, the $JOB is in the list as expected.
