Given the memory limitations of the GeForce 1080ti what is the performance difference between the two. Going with CPU upgrade would greatly increase my Manta and Sims. But OpenCL GeForce sims may also be very speedy. Anyone messing with this?

Extrapolating from limited testing of a Gtx980 vs Ryzen 1700 the 1080ti will be 2.5 faster. Linux.

I saw a post on OD force I think… we had Pyro gaining HUGE speed gains. But fluids not so much, almost the same. I'm reading about this new ThreadRipper and may want to go that way.

That 1950X is about twice as fast as the 1700 when threaded, which OpenCL coding forces. Should be very very good!
