Hi, Can anyone point to a tutorial that can explain how to do multiple UV's?
In 3DS Max, you can create mapping channels with different mapping coordinates.
You can then access these for different textures.
For instance, I have a UV flattened model, I want to apply a gradient texture to some parts of this model.
I have created different textures and applied them, the problem is the coordinates don't work for this. They are laid out in a UV tile. I could somehow export this tile, then paint in these gradients once I can identify the pieces in photoshop. That is a lot of work so I can just apply a gradient to some parts of the model.
I'm looking for some knowledge with regard UV texturing.
Can anyone help with a tutorial that explains how to create multiple UV's on a model?
Thanks

I still didn't have to use multiple uv's in Houdini but I know it's possibile, you have to create the first set using the attribute “uv”, then the others using attribute names “uv2”, “uv3”, etc
“Layer” sop is the node to use to work with multiple attributes
