Hi. Pretty new to Houdini. I'm trying to create a circular ramp in COPs to use as a sprite shader for a particle effect. I can make the ramp colors okay but each sprite card is square and I'm having trouble having the edges be transparent enough. I'd like my sprites to have rounded edges. How do I set this up? Any suggestions on settings or tuts that cover this sort of thing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is tutoral by 3dbuzz covering pretty the same topic you're asking - creating a basic sprite shader.
As I understand, you question is more about shader setup then ramp in COPS, because it is THE shader which decides about edges of your sprite. You should fit to its alpha/opacity outputs proper value. You can take it from texture or just generate during runtime in mantra.
Go and see it, I've just checked and it's still there: www.3dbuzz.com or specify your problem so we can halp you more.
cheers,
SY.
