Hi

am trying to create a vortex kind effect am using a curve to guide my velocity and get it into my pop network using sop geometry 

since adding the node and connect it to my vortex node every thing go as fine 

but when ever i name my curve in the sop the software crashes and shutting down 

am using Houdini 17.0.352 is it a bug with this version or its my mistake ? I test it with multiple machine same result 
any suggest could help

If it's happening on several machines, it's probably a bug and you should file a bug report.

That sounds like a familiar issue. That issue is a known bug that was present in the release version of 17.0.

Try to use a current version, as this issue I'm thinking of was fixed a long time ago.
