Hey everyone!)
Just wonder if it's possible to build up a COP's network that will take a single PSD with layers and then transform it to the spritesheet : so that every layer will be scaled and placed according to it's index…kinda). I mean, i know that this kinda thing may be done in photoshop, but i think it'd be great to use houdini for such purposes too. Thx!)

Hello,
what you describe reminds mosaic node,
only i don't see dear Houdini reading .psd of .tiff ‘s layers,
but loading into file Houdini’s sequence, which is saved in .picnc format
it looks say like this

Hi!)
Houdini actually does read psd's layers and stores it in the separate image planes.
Anyways, thx for a tip!)

oh really O_o so cool
thank you for the question and answer
bad bad me
it's called go to read manuals https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/io/formats/image_formats.html [www.sidefx.com]
and why i couldn't make it work earlier

but feel going mad anyway - i can't seems to figure out - with their default butterflies - layer node works just fine - showing both (or more) as one picture
while with .psd is visible only a layer selected under the viewport (e.g. cucumber as on pic)
all the settings of layer nodes are the same and default
how to make all the layers being visible at the same time?
would be great if someone may tell
