Hello!

In the Houdini 18 Sneak Peak video [youtu.be] there is an additional dropdown for Bevel modes.
In the video it is set to “As Distance”, and I guess there are other modes similar to ones one might find in other modeling software that would really help on complex geometry with a range of angles.

Is this feature still in development?

I am using Houdini Apprentice 18.0.566

It's a paid DLC

18.0.273 is a pre-release version. It's not abnormal for features to be cut/UI simplified prior to release.
