Traceback (most recent call last):
File "labs:op/gaea_tor_processor::4.0/execute", line 1, in <module>
File "labs:op/gaea_tor_processor::4.0, PythonModule", line 42, in ProcessTor
File "labs:op/gaea_tor_processor::4.0, PythonModule", line 203, in LoadXML
Error: Could not find XML file. Please make sure Houdini has writing privileges in the directory where the .tor file is located!

I tried to use different location, different .tor file, use a blank houdini 18.5, labs up to date..
What could I do to get it running?

Thanks

Okay, found the answer myself.

The xml has to be built manually from Gaea command line after you choose which parameter you want to expose in gaea, kind of houdini promote... I though I didn't have to do that before, but maybe I'm wrong..
Now the output look totally fucked on a simple terrain with a simple noise, I guess that's another problem ?
This bridge doesn't look as smooth as expected.

One simple but great thing about Gaea i wish Houdini has, it saves a thumbnail of the scene you saved... Usefull

Hi,

I think I'm having the same issue with latest Gaea and Houdini versions.

Those are examples for automation provided by Quadspinner: https://github.com/QuadSpinner/Gaea.Automation [github.com]

When used in Houdini those are working, but the heightmap returned is broken. Looks like some format mismatch?

It looks like this:

I've solved it by NOT generating the XLM files. The File and Output nodes need to be exposed though.

Here's a quick tutorial I've recorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Mb-Tae9PsU [www.youtube.com]

I did tried i the past to generate the XML like and so for some reason, i were missing one step.
Like substance , this implementation feels a little like halfway completed im afraid to say...
