H19.5 is a wonderful release, but i noticed that Sparse Pyro still doesn't support GPU.And all simulations in Houdini still can't use GPU and CPU together,if you run out GPU memory, the simulation won't automaticaly switch to CPU.
Just curious,is this technolgy very complicated?Because the Axiom Solver has achieved that, and it's developed by one man.
I have no mean to offense SideFX team.
Just curious,is Sparse GPU technically hard?

Harder to write code, harder to debug, less libraries available, harder to support a variety of GPUs.
The issue is SESI has a ton of code that would have to be implemented in OpenCL to have 1:1 feature parity. It's easier to do this when you can create a self-contained system from the start.
