USD imported from Keyshot, to be rendered with Houdini/Pixar

Can someone tell me how to import a Keyshot scene via USB and render with Renderman? (retaining materials)



It should be as simple as Sop import, usdimport, unpack usd, hit render... but that doesn't work.

Parts and their shaders show up if you dive into Lopnet for Import sublayer under usdimport... this seems to end up crashing when modifying the camera or hiding a component (top cover for example).

Using Houdini 19.5.569 py37 and Renderman 25

You want to use a sublayer or reference node in LOPs to import USD for rendering. Importing into SOPs is for modifying the geometry or doing simulations. Any materials lights or cameras will be lost when imported to SOPs.
