Hello, I'm making some demos using Houdini 9 apprentice, but I would like to buy a Master license soon.
Since I have a few servers from hp (Intel Xeon Dual Core) (Dual AMD Opteron Dual Core) and (Dual Intel Xeon Dual Core), on 2 servers I have installed MS Windows Server 2003R2 and on the other Linux Red Hat Enterprise Server. I would like to know how to manage renders from my workstations remotely… and which kind of Houdini licenses I need to use for render.

Is there any post about this?

Thanks

Not sure about how to install the license on the rendernodes but running mantra while using the other machines is as simple as specifying their host names or IP's. Something in the line of mantra -H rendernode1 rendernode 2 etc etc (type the name twice to use both cores/cpus…btw maybe that did change with H9…maybe one time is enough now).

If you want a real render manager you could try drqueue. It's free.

If you get the master license you get unlimited tokens of mantra for your farm so that is pretty neat.
