Hello,

I'm wondering how to control the direction/pattern for a ramp shader node with Karma.
Here is an example of the usual controls I would have in Arnold:

However with a "kma_rampconst" I seem to not have any control and the shader just uses the input 0 point to determine the overall colour.

Any ideas?

You'll have to look up the math formulas online for the various 2D transformations and implement them using MaterialX math nodes.

Hi Brian,

Thanks very much for the response.
Okay, that's shame that Karma doesn't have an "easy to use" Ramp shader node yet.

Right now my RND isn't super shader focused and I won't be looking up math formulas, but I'll add this missing feature to my list. Good to know!
