Hi guys, I just drop by to show some progress after two months of learning Houdini. Nothing special but dam m I proud of what I managed to accomplish so far. All quads and procedural to some extent.

Thanks for being interested and watching.

Thanks, Herve, much appreciated. I did a lot of changes for which I will be uploading one more video and then share a file. I managed to get much better performance from the new setup and a nice building block for the attachments which are now easy to add or change.

Cheers,
Igor

So I did a quick texturing and rendering within SP and this is what I've got. I think Ill end this mini-project and start a new one. Was a great learning experience. Was thinking about how to add lightnings but, I am not sure what would be best approach. :/
Thanks for the comments!!

Beautiful render!

I have yet to learn lightning as well, I followed a tutorial for it a while back but it required custom assets and subnets which would be easy to complete and it does a lot of it for me, so I stopped just because I want to learn more then to actually do.

So guys, this is how final version of Mjolnir looks like in procedural ways. Now it's time for another mini-project.

Here is the video and final 3rd part of it. I managed to improve performance for a great margin and if you are guys interested in the file, check the files, check the attachments.

I did those with PolyDraw tool, so it's not procedural.
